Access & security

This is an unrestricted prototype. There is no login. Anyone who has these files can open the Teacher Console, including the teacher notes and progress records saved on this computer. Hiding buttons or using a "teacher mode" switch would not make it secure, so none is used.

Use it safely now: keep the files on teachers' own computers or in a staff-only shared drive. Do not post them on a public website or send them to students or parents.

Ready for secure login: all access goes through one sign-in module (GMAuth) and all records through one storage module (GMStore). To restrict access, host the console behind real sign-in (for example Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 single sign-on) and swap those two modules — see ARCHITECTURE.md.

Audio plays from this computer. In Zoom, tick Share sound when you share the Student Screen window. Use authentic recitation only — no music, no generated voices.

Recitation file

The lesson file needs start/end times for each ayah. Set them once in the Recitation Video tool (Setup → Verse timing → Tap to sync) and export the lesson file.

Teaching with Zoom

Click Open student screen. A second window opens.
In Zoom: Share Screen → choose the “Growing Muslim — Student Screen” window, and tick Share sound.
Double-click the student window (or press F in it) for fullscreen if you have a second monitor.
Teach from this console. Students only see the student window.
